As another Christmas season rolls around, many of us are feeling the pinch of tight economic times. I want to say thank for giving when times are tight. Thanks for giving sacrificially so that the message of our great savior can penetrate places it has not yet reached.
Since 1888, the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering has funded Southern Baptist workers to go and share the gospel of Jesus Christ among those who still haven’t heard. Looking at this year’s national goal of $170 million, such an amount seems like a nebulous black hole, but from where I sit, I see the countless specific needs those funds address. Moreover, I have the privilege of seeing the lives that are changed because of you support me to be here.
Over the next few weeks, I will be posting some thank you notes from co-workers in the region, and I pray you are as blessed as I am to read the many ways that God has used your giving to tangibly impact so many with the gospel.
