The eyes of the world are turning toward Beijing as the 2008 Summer Olympic games draw near. As the nations gather in China for an Olympics unlike any other, we have a massive opportunity to touch the nation for Christ. Will you join us?

What Can I Do?

Coming to volunteer in China presents different challenges then other locations, but opportunities for you are plentiful. Here is a sampling of possibilities:

Prayer Walks. We want to canvas the venue cities in prayer as we anticipate all God will do in the hearts of the Chinese during the Olympic events. You will be walking and praying where millions of fans, athletes and travelers will converge in 2008.

Neighborhood Activities. Hold events in local parks to celebrate with the Chinese who are excited about the Olympics. A smile and helping hand will be a great testimony and opportunity to develop relationships.

Sports Clinics and Demonstrations. Have some athletic talent? Put it to use in local clinics and demonstrations.

Creative Arts. Put your artistic talents to use, be it drama, music, art, mime, or something else. Through your performances and neighborhood activities, you will have opportunity to build many relationships.

Helping Hands. We need servant-hearted individuals to help with a variety of projects. Distribute information packets or help with first-aid. Even giving out a cup of cold water will meet a huge need.

We have many opportunities, and we look forward to finding the best fit for you. Wherever you go, the Olympic spirit will be high, and the opportunities for spiritual impact will be plentiful.

When Can I Come?

The Olympics will take place during the summer of 2008, and this is when most volunteers will come. However, we have need for volunteers even now. Opportunities in 2006-2007 include prayer walking teams and English teaching. We also encourage potential team leaders to come on a pre-trip to get a handle on your task before the Olympics come.
