China has over 435 ethnic minority groups, however only 56 of them are official recognized by the Chinese government. Each group represents a unique niche of culture and beliefs. Many of these groups have never heard the gospel because of cultural, linguistic or geographical barriers. Click on the links along the left-hand side of the page to read a little bit about each one.

Suggestions for using people group information:
Prayer focus. Have a different "people group focus" in your weekly church service, Bible study or missions meeting. Share the pictures and information about each people group and then pray for them to come to know Christ.

Learn and adopt. As you read through the profiles, do you keep coming back to one in particular? Perhaps God has placed a burden on your heart to pray for a specific group. Learn more about adopting a people group and helping them hear about Jesus.

Children's game. China's people groups are a fascinating mix of culture, including different costumes, foods, housing styles and beliefs. Take five profiles and share them with your RA's, GA's, sunday school class or other group. Ask the children match the people group with facts you glean from the profiles. Before you end, remember to pray with the students for the people of China.
