Yesterday I had an opportunity to tell the greatest story of all times to someone who had never heard. The listener was one that I had never before met and one that I will likely never see again this side of heaven. But during the short time that we had together enroute to an airport, I shared about God’s gift of salvation through Jesus Christ His Son. The hearer said with a sense of awe, “I have never heard this before!” When asked if he wanted to pray to receive Christ, he immediately responded that he did. As we parted company a few moments later, both he and I knew that he had just received the greatest gift imaginable.
That’s what your Christian workers are about in East Asia. Telling the story to those who have never heard and inviting them to receive the gift of salvation. We do so knowing we are undergirded by the gift of your prayers. At this season of gift giving, let’s make an even deeper commitment to giving the best gifts of all. Let’s share the Good News with those we know and those we don’t know, praying for all who are telling the story and all who are hearing.
