We were up with the sun for the second day in a row. I don’t know how those pesky roosters had sniffed our trail for all those miles, but somehow they were there again, summoning us from dreamland and into the reality of our second day in a large East Asian country.

For five American college students, it was a Christmas like no other. The students, only one of whom had been to China before, arrived in a modern Chinese city where none of them had ever set foot before and where they had never met one person. They were given instructions of where to go and how to get started, and they hit the ground running. A week and a half later, they had met hundreds of new Chinese friends, mostly college students, setting dozens on a pathway of discovery towards Christ, and helping eight of them pray to receive Christ into their lives.

This summer, International World Changers made a pilot trip to the Middle Kingdom. China boasts of thousands of years of dynastic history and is home to the 2008 Olympics. Throughout their two-week stay, IWC high school students built relationships with Chinese middle and high school students.
